THE CONSIDERATE TYPE

Both Southern Europe and a large part of the United States are experiencing a remarkable heatwave. There have been temperature warnings in several places. Southern Europe is verging on eighty degrees, which is unheard of and everyone knows leads to the demise of elderly French people in unventilated Parisian attics, and here in California many places are near one hundred or more. In a few areas of So. Cal. its at one hundred and twenty.

Which makes applying eye shadow a dangerous proposition.

In Mill Valley it was around eighty. Somewhat hotter than that in Palo Alto. There are probably dead French retirees all over the place. Here in San Francisco we've been spared that.

Vast vistas of perky old fossils as far as the eye can see.
San Francisco is a veritable paradise for the elderly.
May have something to do with our climate.
It's not quite mediterranean.
SUBURBS OF ROME

Earlier today I was in Palo Alto visiting the ACGA Clay & Glass Festival at the Arts Center on Embarcadero road. It was productive. Saw what some of my favourite artists are up to these days, bought stuff, avoided heat-crazed French geezers snapping at everything that moved. Or maybe that was little dogs. Not sure. Small. Feisty. Fanged. Must've been French.

Tomorrow looks to be just as hot.

If you're planning to exercise, do so in a well airconditioned place. Kindly don't go jogging outside. The rest of us don't want to stumble over your rapidly dessicating corpse.
Please be considerate of your fellow human beings.
The living will thank you.
