YOU NEED A TANK. YES YOU DO.

When you can't sleep in the middle of the night, naturally you end up on the internet reading, or watching things that normally take up none of your precious time. Such as stirring martial music videos on youtube.
All of which, for some queer reason, seem to be associated with a Japanese anime series, Girls und Panzer.

It's a very strange phenomenon. The anime series is about a competitive sporting pursuit considered fitting for high-school girls in an alternate version of the Japanese World, namely "the way of the tank".

In lieu of photography club, lets say, or astronomy club. Or any number of other group activities in a school-related context that inculcate good habits and proper social webbing.

It's character building.

It's downright peculiar.

Still, Italian military music does not suffer from the association.

You will note that the actual video images have zero or less connection to the Italian military units referenced, namely the Lagunari (amphibian forces based in Venice), the daemons (Sardinian regiment), or the Arditi (elite assault units formed during World War One, now a parachute assault regiment).

To the best of my knowledge, none of these or any other Italian units include teenage Japanese girls among their members.
Which is no doubt a great cause of sadness.
To the gentlemen of those units.

I have never watched any episodes of Girls und Panzer. What little knowledge I have about the series comes from Wikipedia and the obsessive G.U.P fan comments underneath military tunes on youtube.
The tardzoid fanbase is international in scope.
Rather like a Masonic cult.

A LACK OF PROPELLANT

Rereading my old posts reminds me that I used to be immoderate. And at times over the top. I've calmed down and grown up since then. Now...
