SUBMISSION, WITH MORE ASPIC

This blogger is thrilled, delighted even, to read of a bizarre tasting menu at a famed restaurant of which he has never heard, which he will never visit, in a beautiful town that has probably no other current claim to fame or notoriety. Gourmandise took a back seat to performance art.

No, there wasn't a "bleeding lizard in the bidet". That's just for regular tourists on a package which includes Watneys Red Barrel, a beverage essential to the peripatetic middle classes.

Instead: squid flavoured marshmallows.
Which was high concept, from Chef Floriano Pellegrino.
