WOMEN IN BLACK
The first one is the remark made by one of the Women In Black at our counterprotest to their support for Hamas at the Montgomery Street Bart Station (a monthly event).
It was her demented idea of words-of-consolation, perhaps, or some misguided interpretation of the equitability of karma.
Pursuant the death of pro-Israel activist Dan Kliman, who may have been pushed into the elevator shaft by one of this woman-in-black's depraved associates or lovers, she said: "what goes around comes around".

Sweety, if that is true, it works both ways.
I may wish to address you on that issue the next time I see that puffy face with those mean little eyes. I'll have to stoop to your level.

You know, Stevie-poo, I really have to wonder whether you are dying your hair. It just doesn't look like it should be that vibrant a hue, considering that receding hairline.

For a lawyer, Stephen, you don't seem to have any understanding of justice. But that was already evident a long time ago. Even to the dysfunctional conspirators with whom you habitually associate. Unfortunately few of them have the decency to avoid ethically crippled trash like you and your wife.

I read about Stephen Pearcy's lynched soldier mock-up in 2005, and again in 2007 when his crappy cartoonish painting created a stink. Him and his kind are the main reason why people think of Berkeley as one of the vilest places in California.
But of course Berkeley ALSO has Medea Benjamin.... what kind of woman changes her name to that of an epic whore, evil enchantress, and murderer of her own lovers, relatives, and children? That testifies to extreme egomania and extreme dysfunctionality. Which is proven by her behaviour.
How fitting that she is the face of Berkeley. How perfect for Berkeley to have such a representative.

I would instead have thought of 'Baby Doll'.
With Baby Doll, as with A Streetcar Named Desire, director Elia Kazan and writer Tennessee Williams broke new ground in depicting sexual situations incorporating themes of lust, sexual repression, seduction, and the corruption of the human soul.
Time magazine called the film just possibly the dirtiest American-made motion picture that has ever been legally exhibited. The film caused a sensation in 1956, also earning condemnation by the then-powerful Legion of Decency and causing Cardinal Spellman to denounce Doll from his pulpit.
Cotton-mill owner Archie (Karl Malden) waits with tension and impatience till his child-bride turns twenty years old. At which point, per the agreement with her father, he may finally consumate what he has been tensely impatient about for years.
Quite the most depraved thing I have ever seen, and possibly the most degenerate of the entire corpus of Southern Degeneracy movies. I enjoyed it immensely, and highly recommend it.
Well Virginia is over 30 now, and while her income remains highly attractive to Stephen, she just doesn't have that special something she did at 15.
Think he visits Thailand much?
doubt it, for two reasons:
1. Given his "questionable" history, it might prove both suspicious and embarrassing to be on record visiting certain countries.... alone.....
2. He clearly needs someone who will stroke his ego, verbally, in English. It seems to be an essential component of his proclivity. Rather than the economically depressed tribal areas of Thailand, trailerparks may prove more suitable.
So the question is, how often does he go to Arkansas?
All of this is pure speculation, of course. Or intelligent guesswork.
It would be 'interesting' to find out what movies he owns, and which ones he paid cash for, or made himself. I wonder if we'll read about him soon in connection with World-wide arrests and computer-seizures.
Of course, another question that must come to mind is in how much Virginia is his enabler.
Often the offspring of dysfunctional parents replay and revive precisely that pattern of dysfunctionalities for the rest of their life.
Though I would not be surprised if both of them came to their dysfunctionality entirely originally, without any familial prompting. They are intelligent enough, and base enough, that they might not perceive any negative connotations to their actions. And both of them have such stupendous egos that the frisson of the forbidden and the disapproved courses of action must necessarily appeal to them.
As is demonstrated abundantly by their mock-up of the lynched soldier. Public opinion, and public morality, mean naught to them.
Oh well, thank god none of you mentioned Ada by Vladimir Nabokov! I only read the first part, where Ada and Van Veen become teenage lovers and then discover that they are not cousins but actually brother and sister, but from everything I've read here it sounds like there is something just as nasty incestuous about Steve and Virginia. Especially that she moved into his house when she was still in her early teens. It's like Ada moving in with Van instead of marrying Andre Vinelander. Or Lucette trying to seduce Van on board the ship. But Lucette then commits suicide when it doesn't work, so maybe not quite. Yet.
Send them some soap!
It's a very beautiful book in some parts, by the way. I do NOT mean to suggest that the real-life Steven and Virginia are anything like that. They are sleazy.
They are more like the decrepit and diseased Van Veen in the latter half of the book, who seems sex-ridden and demented. A rich yet very sad and depressing life. He commits suicide at the end - I only skippled through the last three hundred pages. They aren't as glowing as the first three hundred. Unless depressive, difficult, and sleazy can all glow. Which I don't think.
In all fairness, I should point out that both Stephen and Virginia assert that there was no connubulation until she was of legal age.
Whether either of them have a chezkas kashrus (presumption of believability) is perhaps a question.
I would aver that as both of them have been involved with the insane and extremist fringe of the peac movement, and the anti-Israel crowd, and the anti-Semitic fringe, a chezkas kashrus is absolutely out of the question. And, if mr. Stephen Pearcy, or his wife the eighteen years younger former Virginia Johnson, were to insist that they did not have sex until he could legally get away with it, I would be forced to disbelieve them.
While their torrid life presents a delicious image, I doubt that their inclinations are nearly that interesting.
Still, if he has made home-movies, it would be interesting to hear more details.
So, Stephen, how about it? Any film you have shot featuring your wife or anybody else?
