SCENES OF MASS STUPIDITY

San Francisco has updated mask-guidelines in accord with CDC guidelines. In short: people can now forego masks when outdoors, when not in crowded areas.


Quote: "The CDC's announcement that fully vaccinated, and in some instances unvaccinated, people no longer need to wear masks in certain outdoor settings is fantastic news that reflects the science and data we now have on the efficacy of the vaccines in preventing community spread and driving down case rates and the minimal risk of transmission outdoors. We welcome the state's decision to adopt these common-sense guidelines and we hope it further incentivizes people to get vaccinated as soon as possible" End quote.

What this really says is that you can forget about common sense and concern for others. As you may have already noticed. Our vaccine roll-out was a complete crapshoot and isn't over yet, and the disease is still out there. There are parts of the country that are still in disaster mode, and many tourists and visitors lack brains or even a pretense at common sense.
Parts of the world are almost unimaginable. And getting worse.

Even on public transport there are idiots.

But hey, no masks, y'all.

Yay!


What this may mean is that Covid 19 will spread virtually unchecked among the as-yet-unvaccinated and vaccine-refusers (we all know a few of those), and even some healthy fully-vaxxed people will get it. And while I personally welcome damnation for anti-vaxxers, society as a whole needs a few of them because they fullfill useful roles as irresponsible bureaucrats, influencers, and liabilities. Well, that is to say, they have a place, and they fill holes.
Consumers, tax payers, middle class cretins.

I think we've nearly reached our likely capacity for vaccinated individuals. We'll all have to work overtime when the bastards croak. I'm not ready for that.

We've seen plenty of stupidity from others in the past 12 months.
Get ready for buckets more of it.

I'm not looking forward to another wave of this.



Why can't we leave complacency and stupid behaviours to the states with the most obese, least educated, most Christian, least liberal populations? You know, the entire Deep South.
Plus Ohio, Arizona, and Alaska.
