IT'S A BIT COMPLICATED ...

New Belgium Brewing Company upset the good people of Napa by making it seem like they're are NIMBY Karens. First they circulated alleged proposals for a beer theme park. Then through social media and rumours they doubled down on that when the squawking started. There were protests. There was outrage. Indignance!
And much storming in tea cups.

All fake.


The SF Chronicle was NOT amused at the prank. It put the fine upstanding bourgeoisie of Napa in a bad light. A few other news-media orgs were also upset.
So meanspirited and juvenile!

Personally, I don't touch IPA. But I'm quite okay with the folks in Napa clenching holes in their tampons, and consider both the SF Chronicle and SF Gate to be rather shitty news orgs that whore themselves out to hopelessly middle class wannabees and hipsters.

By the way: Napa is indeed a beautiful area. Filled with snooty pricks.
