COLUMBIA STUDENTS ARE RATHER STUPID

It turns out that the snooty New Yorkers who go to Columbia are, on the whole, a rather shallow and stupid bunch, as well as blinkered and provincial. Those of us who are irritated by New Yorkers and their superior attitudes will not be surprised at this statement.

Long accustomed to pull up their pissy noses at damned well everything, as well as habitually whining about perceived isms, Columbia students are presently kvetching about a proposal to put a statue by Henry Moore on their campus.

The poor little offended wusses do not want this sculpture:

[Henry Moore, ‘Reclining Figure,’ 1969-1970. Credit Roberto Ferrari. Lifted from this article in the NYT: Columbia Students Protest a Henry Moore Sculpture, by Joshua Barone, APRIL 4, 2016.]

"an arthropod, a spider, a dragon, kind of evil; a dying mantis or a poorly formed pterodactyl"

There is a petition, of course. Because, sense of entitlement.

I think it is utterly gorgeous. And I think we need it it San Francisco. Either right in front of city hall, where that silly empty reflecting pool is now, or somewhere near Chinatown, so that children can play on it.

Columbia students are barbarians.

Keep the damned bagels.

And the pizza.

E-kvetcher; I saw that. Don't know anybody personally on whom I would wish those, and those that were on Facebook have already been defriended long since.
