As if their hatefilled anti-Gay demonstrations, and repulsive protests at the funerals of soldiers killed in Afghanistan and Iraq weren't enough, the Westboro Baptist Church now intends to holler obscenities at Jews.
This coming Saturday, the inbred kin of pastor Fred Phelps will be bringing profound dishonour to the Christian Religion by holding up signs that say "God hates Jews" outside Congregation Beth Elohim in Brooklyn.

I promise you, the most interesting behaviour will not be demonstrated by the members of Congregation Beth Elohim. After all, they are civilized. Which is something that Fred Phelps and his inbred brood manifestly are not.

After leftist scum like Stephen Pearcy and Lily Haskell, and now these right-wing religious extremists, I am very sure I fully support the 2nd amendment. Although getting charged with murdering one of these loons would not be worth throwing the way the rest of one's life.
I don't understand why we, as Jews have to put up with this, why we are expected to sit back and let them do this. I understand that if they are being innaproptiate, but civilized, that we have to stay civilized too, but when they cross this line, why can't we?
If they're smart, the folks at Beth Elohim will take a page from Beth Simchat Torah a few months ago and use it as a fundraising opportunity. I can't think of a better way to rub Phelp's nose in it.

My understanding is that this is a hateful, profit making scam. These folks are betting that if they are offensive enough,that someone will overstep the lines, and violate their civil rights. At that point, their in-house legal staff begins the lawsuits. The settlements fund their organization. Offensive and sleazy.
