YOU ARE NOT TAKING AWAY MY FRITOS LUNCH!

Got home after wandering around Chinatown to find my apartment mate feeding the turkey vulture, who promptly claimed that "nobody ever FEEDS me!" while he was still licking the noodles off his chops. She had fixed herself some chicken & noodle vegetable soup with a poached egg. Sydney Fylbert (the turkey vulture) loves the Irish people (vegetables), and oddly, for a bird, is immensely fond of eggs. And no one ever feeds him.

She talked about a food discussion with a coworker, after which both of them were hungry, and the coworker asked if she had anything to eat in her cubicle. Nope. And later the same coworker came back and found her scarfing down the last of a bag of Fritos.

"They're mine!"

She likes the slimey textured foods; oysters, eggplant, mushrooms.
But she wants a crab for her birthday in a month.
A big, BIG crab. That is all.
Okay. Can do.
What I had for lunch was NOT crab, but steamed northern style chive and pork dumplings (蒸韭菜豬肉水餃 'jing gau choi chyu yiuk suei gaau'). Hon's Wuntun on Washington (where the old Washington Bakery and Cafe used to be) is a clean well-lighted place to scarf down all manner of dumpling-like foods. It was my first time there, and I enjoyed it very much.

Plus I've observed the hands that made those soei gau. They're deft and elegant.

Hon's also has Hong Kong milk tea.
So I'm a happy camper.
