ANGST AND SQUIRRELS

There are some war scenes that are indelibly imprinted on the viewer's mind. They replay at dark hours of the night, when the silence of the city lets the mind wander. It's a delayed reaction.
Post-traumatic stress, if you will.

When it's utterly quiet, I think of tanks.

ARIGATOU = DANKE!

As Frederick Douglas once famously said: "a battle lost or won is easily described, understood, and appreciated, but the moral growth of a great nation requires reflection, as well as observation, to appreciate it."

Inspiring.
War is hell, comrade.

Rotate gun, and destroy the village.

Okay, and now a freebie for the Amphibian and e-kvetcher, because they appreciate the absurdity of it all.

*PAM *PAM *PAM!

Please note: all Girls und Panzer episodes are obligatory viewing at West Point. They contribute to the growth of a well-rounded military officer, who is emotionally stable.

Or at the very least, a cheerful squirrel.

No angst.

How did I know these guys were Europeans :)

You should check out their Stonehenge video - also a classic.

PS - love the Japanese singing Katyusha (they did a pretty good job all things considered)

Angst used ironically? Deep, yet with loads of sarcastic superficiality?

Their henge is the greatest henge of all.

I know youtube 'suggests' other things to watch based on the users previous views. And I know they often jump to remarkable conclusions when doing that.

But why do they recommend a video that ends with the suggestion that "you shouldn't kick people in the vagina"?

Baffling.

Yet sound advice.

Words to live by, in any case.
