Exactly a year ago San Francisco woke up to orange slies. And shortly after that, realized disappointedly that cell phone cameras adjust for yellow. Which meant that the vast majority of photos taken that morning looked distinctly pinkish. Then there was a lot of swearing.
Visually, it was a very enjoyable day. We walked around marveling, and making comments. Nothing momentous was said, just inane observations, and speculation about the possible effect on breathing, and surprise that in the middle of the day it was darker than at dawn.
